It’s possible to find “Apitong plywood” at a lower price, but it’s often sub-par Apitong facing plywood. It’s lighter weight, weaker, and more prone to delamination. For maximum cost effectiveness, 100% Apitong/Keruing plywood is best. Any savings from the cheaper product are lost when repairs and lifespan are considered.
